Gas Station Refrigerator, Oil on Linen Panel, 16x12", original painting

$1,150.00

This was my first painting in my series of convenience store scenes, from early 2025. I’m always trying to hit a sweet spot with the resolution of the picture. I’d like to paint as few pixels as possible while conveying as much information as possible, I feel that’s what makes the magical feeling happen. This painting depicts some objects that are too small to be identified, and some objects which are only 1-2 subpixels larger, such as the 2 liter bottles on the bottom, which can be clearly identified. The reference image was lifted from google and then doctored up in Aseprite, which is my go to pixel art software.
